The ALERT Data Receiver – Model 4500-02 base station accepts transmitted data from field transmitters or repeater stations. The ALERT Data Receivers are small and lightweight for convenient placement close to the antenna, and is powered by a 12 VDC charger – Model 5603-00. (As an option, a 12 VDC, 2.3 Amp Hour Battery – Model 5608-00 is recommended for uninterrupted power.)
The ALERT Data Receiver has an internal speaker with an on/off switch located on the front panel. This speaker allows the ALERT Data Receiver operator or technician to hear the quality of the data signals. Equally important, the ALERT Data Receiver’s speaker is capable of revealing radio interference present on the system frequency.
The ALERT Data Receivers include a VHF or UHF narrow band receiver which is tuned to a specific frequency. The audio output of the ALERT Data Receiver is connected to the ALERT Decoder – Model 1000-03. The ALERT Data Receiver – Model 4500-02 base station comes with a 12 VDC charger, 6 ft (1.8 m) audio cable, and harness for optional battery.
